Breeding Animals

We got our first Red Angus in 1984, beginning in 1985 to collect all weights and keep data on the calves. We have always searched for bulls with characteristics to compliment our cows keeping good temperament as an essential. We now have thick deep cows that get "fat" on grass and keep on hay. Our EPD's are accurate and are always used in breeding decisions.

Bull calves are all evaluated at test stations, where they can be compared with bulls coming from other breeders. A very small and select group of bulls is still sold at test station sales. However, we now sell most of our bulls directly to the customer through private treaty sales.
